Seven years since I became the first real estate agent in Australia to list & sell a property through Facebook, I'm delighted to have achieved another record over the past few days when it comes to social media marketing, in the real estate industry. With so many marketing agencies out there today promising the world & delivering little to no results, I've just set a record for the lowest cost per lead, in the shortest amount of time, coming in at $1.86c in just three hours. What is a lead? Not to be confused with a lot of the "Price Update" ads I constantly see, a lead is a buyer, seller or landlord who gives you their information and qualifies themselves to you, through our targeted campaigns. Someone who is actively looking at doing something opposed to simply wanting a price update on their property who may have no interest in selling. An average cost per lead in Australia is around $9-$10 for the real estate industry and I'm aware many of my competitors are running their ads for around $20 - $30 per lead. As the market starts to cool, it's important to be working with an agency with an intimate knowledge of the industry and has their finger on the pulse.
