What started as a casual idea has grown into a global media empire spanning nine countries, serving over 1,600 members, and driving innovation through an award-winning platform, three industry-leading publications, and plans for further expansion in 2025.


Today, Nic Fren celebrates not only the 7th anniversary of Bespoke Media Group but also 20 years in the real estate industry and the highly anticipated launch of Real Estate Today – Australia.


In an industry where many ventures struggle to survive, Bespoke Media Group stands as a beacon of resilience, creativity, and forward-thinking leadership.


From Humble Beginnings to Global Impact

The story of Bespoke Media Group began on January 2nd, 2018, sparked by a casual post-Christmas conversation with his parents.


With no formal business plan and only an Instagram page, Mr Fren relied on his industry connections, resourcefulness, and a bold vision to build the business from the ground up.


“I never imagined we’d come this far,” Fren reflects. “What started as a simple idea has grown into something that’s making a real impact, and I couldn’t be prouder of the journey we’ve taken to get here.”


This journey was not without its challenges, but Fren’s unwavering belief in the power of marketing and media kept him on course.


A Legacy of Firsts: Trailblazing in Real Estate Marketing

In 2015, Mr Fren made history as the first person to sell a property through social media, a moment that redefined how the real estate industry viewed digital platforms.


“At the time, no one was doing it,” Fren recalls. “It wasn’t just about selling a property; it was about demonstrating how social media could completely change the way we connect with audiences. That sale was a turning point for me and for the industry.


Building on his reputation for innovation, Fren became one of the first adopters and key advocates of TikTok in Australian real estate, bringing the platform to the industry’s attention in 2019.


“No one gave TikTok any respect back then,” Fren shares. “But I saw its potential to engage younger audiences and drive innovative marketing.


Nowadays, we’re seeing agents selling property through the app quite regularly, which is incredible to witness.”


Mr Fren’s forward-thinking approach extended beyond social media. He was also instrumental in introducing the mobility-friendly filter to search filters in real estate networks.


His relentless push and perseverance led to the feature being adopted by major platforms, culminating in its rollout on realestate.com.au in 2024.


“These kinds of innovations aren’t just about staying ahead—they’re about making the industry more inclusive and accessible,” says Fren. “It’s incredibly rewarding to see an idea like that come to life and make a real difference for people.”


These groundbreaking milestones have solidified Fren’s status as a visionary leader, consistently ahead of the curve in integrating technology and inclusivity into real estate.


Taking the Leap: Founding Bespoke Media Group

By mid-2018, Fren decided to leave his role in his Sydney based real estate agency to focus entirely on building his own brand.


Skepticism from peers about his ability to transition from selling properties to managing others’ online presence didn’t deter him.


“I was tired of working my arse off to make my boss rich—it was my turn,” Fren says. “Leaving that job was easy, it was the best decision I’ve ever made.”


Starting with minimal resources, Bespoke Media Group grew steadily, driven by Fren’s expertise, determination, and a vision to help others achieve success in real estate marketing.


Scaling Without Limits: A Model for Sustainable Growth

A defining feature of Bespoke Media Group’s success has been its ability to scale efficiently. By introducing cutting-edge systems like the Bespoke Agent Portal and an in-house CRM platform, the company has built a seamless framework to support rapid growth.


“We could onboard 1,000 members tomorrow and not break a sweat,” says Fren. “That’s the result of smart systems and years of refinement. It’s an incredible position to be in.”


The Bespoke Agent Portal, which offers members instant access to resources, templates, and training materials, and the bespoke CRM system, designed to provide a comprehensive view of the network, have been instrumental in this growth.

Expanding Horizons: The Launch of Real Estate Today

In 2023, Bespoke Media Group took another leap forward with the launch of Real Estate Today, a publication brand that quickly became the leading industry news source in New Zealand. Expansions into the Indo-Pacific and India followed in 2024.


Real Estate Today was an idea I acted on before I had all the answers,” Fren admits. “But I believed in it, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to see it grow into what it is today.”


This week marks another milestone with the launch of Real Estate Today – Australia, further solidifying Bespoke Media Group’s influence in the real estate industry.


Empowering the Next Generation: Licensing Opportunities

Bespoke Media Group isn’t just about its own growth—it’s about empowering others.

Through its licensing model, the company offers entrepreneurs the opportunity to build their own businesses under the Bespoke banner, leveraging its credibility and resources.


“We’re giving people the opportunity to start strong, with the backing of a name that already carries weight,” Fren explains. “It’s about opening doors for others while continuing to grow ourselves.”
